Cynthia is from Colorado. She attended public education, where she finished a Bachelor of Business degree. Growing up, Cynthia looked up to her father the most. He encouraged her to always go after what her heart desires.
And so she did, with very little money and no one working alongside her, Cynthia founded GlobaLinks Learning Abroad – a major global study abroad organisation in the United States. She had no idea how much of an entrepreneur she was until she was given the opportunity to start the business, which is now a well-renowned global company. After 25 years of managing her million dollar business, Cynthia decided to sell the business and she hasn’t looked back since.
Being on top of her business, Cynthia is always hungry for mentorship (and to provide it as well). Constantly seeking guidance in different disciplines she has always willing to learn new pieces of the puzzle that lead to her success.
Her wealth of experience also placed her to be a board member for NAFSA – one of the biggest education conferences in the world.
Now, Cynthia is the executive director of a new organisation called The Global Leadership League, which empowers women’s leadership. She is also the owner of consultancy business New World Vistas.
In this interview, Cynthia shares more about what it takes to get to the top, how she got there and the trials she faced along the way. She talks about what genuine happiness is for someone as successful as her.
